• What is Family Practitioners Information System ?
  • Benefits
FPIS is a software that closely monitors the population getting Family Healthcare services, and the care services given to them.

While the system can work on a central database, it can also work for smaller scales, individiual uses.

In case of the mobile health services, system can work offline as well.

The central structure provides the ability to have data related to services province wide.

System works integrated with hospitals, sanatoriums, labs, AC-SAPs, tuberclosis control dispenseries, enviromental health, administrative transactions and community healthcare centers.

The integrated workflow of the system, regarding the family practitioners, CHC and FHC provides many benefits in tracking the patient and practitioner changes, personnel vacations and other services.

All the previous data of the patient changing the family practitioner is instantenously brought to the new practitioner’s screen. This provides the needed reliability and trust to the practitioner.

The software is structured with geographical address codes. While sending the data to the Ministry of Health wirh XML services, it keeps the family practitioner’s data in the Province Healthcare Directorate datacenter, thus producing consistent, reliable and fast data and results.

Within the FPIS system users are grouped as;
  • Family Practitioner,
  • The Assistant Family Healthcare Personnel(nurses, healthcare civil servants, midwives),
  • Sanatoriums.
  • Family practitioners can track the services given to their patients and observe their health conditions.
  • The mobile teams providing home healthcare services can fetch the most recent data to their terminals and be able to work offline on the field. Once they are back, the data can be uploaded to the system, keeping the data consistency.
  • Examination screen works instantly, all the previous medical data of the patient can be observed.
  • Practitioners can pick their recently used diagnoses and get the polyclinic ledgers digitally.
  • The prescription, reports etc.. operations related to the examination decisions, are created automatically.
  • The data entered during observations are interpreted using the Ministry of Health guidelines, giving visual warning to the practitioners.
  • Since the individuals are tracked as families, all the other individuals' health problems can be observed in the same screen.
  • In cases of vaccinations not performed, unobserved puerperancy or pregnancy, when any family member comes to the practitioners, the family screen allows practitioners to issue the orders for uncompleted work.
  • All the vaccines of the individual since birth to the adulthood can be tracked using the same screen, also displaying the CHC vaccinations.
  • In case of dog bites the patient’s data are quickly forwarded to the Healthcare Directorate online, to confirm whether the dog carries the disease or not, saving the patient from more rabies shots.
  • For the patients diagnosed with anthrax, Agriculture Directorates are notified online, checking if there are similar cases in the region, providing a quick way to take precautions.
  • In case of a practitioner issuing a referral to a higher step healthcare service, the referral reason, tests performed and results along with the basic information of patient are automatically written to form.
